Exciting news! First, I finally decided to spend the money and get myself a domain! Instead of oceanewrites.wordpress.com, it’s now oceanemcallister.com.
I believe it’s more professional than what I was using before, and it was surprisingly cheap as well. One of the reasons I got it will be explained in just a moment, as it is part of the “Exciting News!”.
Recently, I have been working hard at editing and proof-reading Crown of Roses, my NaNoWriMo 2018 story. I’m pleased with how progress is coming along and I’m happy to state that I will be self-publishing it!
Yep, you heard me. After many years of dreaming and hoping, I’m finally making it a reality. An official release date isn’t set yet, but I’m aiming for sometime this summer.
Having my own domain was part of the first steps towards publishing, as I wanted a website–one that didn’t have WordPress in its domain–for my upcoming novel.
I’m still in the Beta reader phase, as I wish to hire an editor before I hand it off to ARC readers. Still, if you’re interested in becoming an ARC reader–I’ll probably need them come May or so–then please feel free to contact me at oceanemcallister@gmail.com.
