If the title wasn’t obvious enough, I officially reached 50,000 words, making me a NaNoWriMo winner! It has been such an incredible journey testing my limits as a writer and doing what I never thought possible: writing a novel in one month.
My story has changed, developed, and become something that I never thought possible when I wrote the first chapter. The characters have become real to me and the world they live in.
While writing it wasn’t easy, it was definitely easier than what’s next. The dreaded editing. I’ve never been fond of the editing process, especially since I feel like it constricts my creative spirit. Still, it is a necessary part of writing that I’ll just have to shoulder through.
But more exciting is the fact that the title has been changed! Instead of being titled Unhappily Ever After, it is now Crown of Roses.
Well, that’s all for now. Has anyone else participated in NaNoWriMo? What was your experience with it?
